CFE offers a CNC ported version of the LT1 aluminum cylinder head used on the 1992 - 1996 Corvette LT1 and the 1993 ? 1997 Camaro / Firebird. The port and chambers are carefully designed to provide the best combination of high flow capabilities and improved port velocity. This combination provides excellent horsepower gains while maintaining a strong torque curve. CFE ported LT1 cylinder heads are precision CNC machined in house to insure that exact tolerances are maintained. The CFE CNC porting procedure is a computer controlled machining operation that duplicates exact details from a finished hand ported cylinder head. Hand porting is a very labor intensive and time-consuming procedure that takes years to perfect. By CNC porting the cylinder heads the high cost of hand porting is reduced, plus the CNC porting is more consistent and will produce better results. Each CNC ported cylinder head will have the exact same port and chamber configuration as the original master used to develop the CNC program.
